Company History

Consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations

First established in 1998, the Company was founded on a solid foundation of performing quality electrical work with the core belief that in order for a company to succeed, “it must perform quality work and consistently meet and exceed its customer’s expectations”. Attention to detail and maintaining the schedule at any cost was a priority, and it was with this mindset that he assembled a team of experienced supervisors and highly qualified linemen, splicers and electricians to form the company that was to become Electrical Contractors Hawaii, Inc.

The acronym ECH soon became the symbol and term used for Electrical Contractors Hawaii. In November of 1998 ECH was awarded the electrical contract on its first large Military Housing Project located just outside of the Pearl Harbor Naval Base Main Entrance. The 6.2 million dollar electrical project consisted of 318 family housing units, and the Site Electrical and Communications Infrastructure work including the installation of Concrete Encased Duct Banks, Manholes, Handholes, Fiber Optics, 15kV Medium Voltage Cables, Terminating, Testing, and the complete Electrical Distribution System including System Commissioning.

Today, through separate entities, ECH maintains offices in both Hawaii and Oklahoma; and combined have completed in excess of $120 million in military related contracts in Hawaii, California, Oklahoma, and as far east as Hanscom AFB in Massachusetts. Customers requesting ECH’s services outside of Hawaii led to the decision to establish ECH Corp in Oklahoma in 2009, while continuing to maintain the core values and principles that led ECH to be a leader in its industry.
